“A Love To Kill”

Sypnosis:

In A Love to Kill, Bi (Rain or Jeong Ji Hoon) plays a tough guy as the role of a K-1 Fighter, Kang Bok Gu. Bok Gu is a character who is dynamic in nature and grew up in a foster home. He falls in love with a woman whom he should not love. It was because of the woman, his emotionally-wounded brother fell off from the rooftop and became a human vegetable. So, his love is forbidden and inevitably tragic.

The woman is Cha Eun Seok (Shin Mina) who is a TV talent and movie actor. It was not that she jilted his brother on purpose, but upon a basis of misunderstanding, his hatred toward Cha Eun Seok grows more and more burning.

By becoming Cha Eun Seok’s private bodyguard, Bok Gu keeps concretely practicing his revenge upon her. He only desires ‘to bring his brother’s woman to her knees.’ He is gradually taking Cha Eun Seok to destruction, while he feels his love toward her growing deeper and deeper in his heart.

My Review:

Revenge. Passion. Hate. Anger. Attitude. Forbidden & Unrequited Love. This drama has all of that. I was hooked right from the very first episode. The storyline was great and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode will make you want to watch it non-stop.

The best part of this drama - BI RAIN! He completely stole the show and acted his butt off.  If you didn’t love him in Full House, this drama will make you go crazy over him. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him taking revenge on her while also battling his love for her.  His character was so unpredictable which made him even more captivating and sexy!  I must admit, the only reason I started watching this drama was because of Rain. He is one handsome guy. It doesn’t matter if he is wearing tattered clothing or a suit — he is HOT!  If you love Bi Rain you’ll definitely want to see this drama.  You get to see him with messy hair, shirtless, shaving his stubbles, fighting, boxing, yelling, smiling, licking his lips and sucking sexily on a lollipop … oh yea *sigh*  Oh I’m blushing :)

Ok, back to the drama. Overall, it’s a good drama. Great cast — everyone acted well. The haunting themesong fits perfectly with the love and revenge storyline.  The first half had lots of suspense and will keep your eyes glued to the drama.  However, I think the story kinda changed after he revealed his identity to her.  It became very melodramatic and a bit draggy. The ending could’ve been better.  I’m no fan of tragic endings, but I think it fits with this storyline.  Overall, this drama is worth watching.
