It Started With A Kiss

Sypnosis:

After an earthquake destroyed Xiang Qin’s (Ariel Lin) house, she and her father moved in with the family of her father’s college buddy, Uncle Ah Li. To her surprise, the kind and amicable aunt and uncle are the parents of her cold and distant schoolmate Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng), a genius with an IQ of 200 whom not too long ago rejected her endless crush on him. Will the close proximity give her a second chance to win Zhi Shu’s heart? Or, will her love for him end under his cold words? What happens when there is competition for his heart?

My Review:

Chemistry, Chemistry and Chemistry! Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin have the best on-screen chemistry.  They seem to be so natural with each other that it’s hard not to fall in love with this couple.  ISWAK is the only Tawainese drama that I love.  Most TW-dramas have too much cheesy-ness and annoying special effects that it’s hard to watch them. Don’t get me wrong, ISWAK does have some cheesy moments and quirky characters but the chemistry between the leads was too good that I was willing to ignore the cheesy-ness.

I’m sucker for male leads who are cold, stoic, unapproachable but deep down has a good heart (kinda like Mr Darcy from Bridget Jones). Joe Cheng played Shi Zhu’s “Mr. Iceman” character perfectly! Ariel Lin played the typical damsel in distress. Her character can be quite stupid at times that you sometimes wonder if she has a brain, but she has a heart of gold - it’s hard not to love her.

Loved this ISWAK wedding video! It really shows what kind of relationship they have. Loved it!
