They Kiss Again
(It Started With A Kiss 2)
Sypnosis:
It Started With a Kiss ended with odd couple Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) and Xiang Qin (Ariel Lin) getting married in characteristically comical fashion, and the sequel picks up the story right away with their honeymoon and married life. Xiang Qin is as ham-fisted as ever, creating many funny situations as she learns the ropes of being a wife and tries hard to become a good nurse and work alongside her genius husband. Aspiring doctor Zhi Shu meets some obstacles at school when he encounters both academic and romantic rivals who are determined to over-rule him. The pressure of balancing marriage, work, and school often leads to mistakes and misunderstandings, and Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin soon learn that marrying young isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
My Review:
Joe and Ariel’s on-screen chemistry heats up even more in this ISWAK sequel. I can’t believe these two are not dating in real life. They act just like a real young married couple. Lots of break-ups and make-ups. If they weren’t fighting, they were making out (literally!). There were so many kissing scenes — some of which were definitely R-rated. *LOL* TW-dramas definitely beat K-dramas in the kissing department.
TKA had lots of romantic moments that made my toes curl. *lol* Loved the piggybacks, the kisses, the jealousy and the misunderstandings. There were so many times where Zhi Shu came off so cold and harsh that I wanted to slap him. However, just as I start to hate his personality, he does something really sweet to XQ. My most favorite part was when he agreed to have XQ practice taking blood from his arm. Yikes! Now, that’s love! She was such an awful nurse. *LOL*
The one thing that I didn’t like about the sequel was that the story focused too much on Xiang Qin’s friends and their issues. She had wonderful friends, but honestly, I fast-forwared through most of those parts. I just wanted to see the ZS/XQ moments. :)
My Rating: 4.5 / 5 stars
